Myriuna is a product for creating and playing persistent worlds built around artificial intelligence. Underneath the player-facing experience is Myriuna Core: a social-world engine that preserves actors, knowledge, relationships, law, history, and consequence beyond the current scene.
First reference world: a broad original low-fantasy village foundation, without magic.
Player agency
A scene can offer three likely continuations, giving the player convenient paths forward and supporting future prerendering. Those choices are invitations, not the boundaries of play.
The player can instead write another action in natural language. Myriuna interprets that intent against the current world, the actor’s abilities, what is known, and what remains possible. Freedom comes from acting inside a coherent world—not from selecting only predefined options, and not from rewriting reality by declaration.

Freeform intent
Speak, travel, investigate, bargain, lie, wait, help, threaten, withdraw, or attempt something the interface did not anticipate.
Governed resolution
An action may succeed, fail, meet resistance, create a partial result, or be refused when it contradicts the world. Declaring an outcome does not make it true.
Modular worlds
Myriuna Core is the engine. A module supplies executable social structure: actors, places, roles, customs, laws, knowledge boundaries, relationship axes, danger, escalation, and the prose assumptions of a setting.
The first module is a broad original low-fantasy foundation without magic. Roads, fields, households, trades, travel, rumours, promises, debts, practical danger, and local authority provide a shared baseline from which more specialized worlds can later diverge.
Executable structure
A module defines how its society behaves: who holds authority, what creates obligation, how information travels, and which actions carry social weight.
Ordinary foundation
A farmer remembering a broken promise reveals more about continuity than a dragon dominating every scene around it.
Future cartridges
Court intrigue, a space station, a merchant caravan, a school, a guild, or a post-apocalyptic settlement can each load different social rules over the same core.
Social causality
A physics engine asks what happens when bodies interact under rules. Myriuna asks what happens when people, memories, obligations, beliefs, relationships, and institutions interact inside a persistent world.
The gameplay questions are human ones: Who saw this? Who knows? Who cares? Which custom applies? What relationship shifted? What becomes possible later? Narrative physics gives AI-generated prose something larger to belong to, so a scene may remain surprising while its causes and consequences remain durable.
The story improvises. The world keeps score.
Witness
Their later reaction can be grounded in direct knowledge, including what they noticed, misunderstood, or chose not to reveal.
Rumour
Information can travel unevenly as testimony, gossip, distortion, accusation, or leverage. A person who never learned about it should not react at all.
Delayed consequence
An event may return because it affected a relative, broke an obligation, altered trust, changed access, or made a later choice newly possible.
Authority boundary
The engine owns world truth: what exists, what happened, what each actor may know, which rules apply, and which consequences are allowed to become real. Replaceable AI models express that bounded reality through dialogue, description, interpretation, emotion, and atmosphere.
The model is free to perform the moment rather than recite a database. It can be lyrical, terse, tense, gentle, suspicious, funny, or surprising. But generated material does not silently become canon. Accepted consequences return through validation and governed state updates.
The database remembers. The validation layer decides. The model expresses.
Narrative rendering
A persistent world can contain far more than the current actor needs. Myriuna reconstructs a bounded local reality from relevant places, actors, knowledge, relationships, history, conditions, and rules, then asks the model to render that moment from the right perspective.
A chatbot tries to keep the world inside the current conversation. Myriuna treats model context more like working memory: temporary, selective, and reconstructed from records that remain outside it. The world can therefore be inspected, backed up, resumed, and carried beyond any one scene.
The model can forget. The world cannot.
The goal is not to load the whole universe into one enormous prompt. It is to present the right reality, at the right resolution, under the right authority.
Text-first lineage
Myriuna is, in part, a mature descendant of text adventures. Those games used rooms, objects, parsers, flags, and scripted state to invite the player’s imagination into places no screen needed to render completely.
Myriuna keeps text’s speed, flexibility, and suggestive power, but places generated prose over governed world state instead of rigid scripts. The result can move from a quiet conversation to travel, politics, suspicion, work, or danger without first building every possibility as a visual asset.
Human imagination
A few grounded details can let the player complete a room, a road, a face, or an entire settlement in ways fixed imagery cannot prescribe.
Generated media
Verified scene output can become structured input for voice, images, video, music, maps, and ambience when those services are available.
World authority
Additional rendering layers may change how a moment is presented. They do not become the source of truth beneath the world.
Continuity promise
One Myriuna universe running the core module as a text-first experience is designed to remain playable on one capable local machine. That core includes persistent world state, actors, bounded knowledge, relationships, history, freeform action, and generated prose—not the complete service stack or every future media feature.
The full product already operates through a distributed, local-first server architecture. The application, model workers, and richer services can run across local machines or connect to compatible cloud providers. That flexibility can increase scale and expression without making any one external service the sole keeper of the universe.
Local-first does not mean local-only. Cloud models and richer services can extend the experience without becoming the sole keeper of the world.
A world should end because the story ends. Not because the service ends, and not because a context window ran out of memory.
Core local experience
The locally runnable core preserves the actual world rather than merely an exported transcript. It includes persistent state, actors, bounded knowledge, relationships, history, freeform action, and AI-generated prose. Its data should remain inspectable, backable, migratable, and resumable with a compatible local model.
Service-survival commitment
If the hosted service ever ends, the commitment is to make the core runnable build and each user’s world data available so their universe—and the actors, histories, relationships, and unfinished stories within it—can continue locally in text.
Current reference system
The current lower-end reference uses an 8th-generation Intel Core i7, 32 GB RAM, and a GTX 1080 Ti. The card was selected with enough headroom for Qwen3 14B, the application, server, database, and local environment. It is a practical development reference, not a final minimum requirement.
Distributed expansion
Language-model inference, advanced prerendering, voice, image generation, video, ambience, and other services can use local workers, compatible cloud providers, or a mixture of both. Those layers add capacity and presentation; Myriuna continues to govern the universe beneath them.
The GTX 1080 Ti is a current practical reference, not a finalized minimum system requirement. Smaller or differently configured models may permit lower hardware requirements.
Development boundary
Myriuna is in pre-production. A historical prototype proved that a browser, server-owned campaign context, local model, validation layer, Chronicle, time advance, freeform action, and rollback could form a complete turn loop.
Current work is transferring that behaviour from flat local data into stricter SQL-backed systems and a reusable first module. The task is no longer simply to produce a convincing scene. It is to ensure that what happened can be written, retrieved, explained, and allowed to matter later.
Prototype demonstrated
Server-owned context, local model generation, three suggested continuations beside freeform input, output validation, persistent Chronicle events, time advancement, and one-turn rollback.
In pre-production
Campaigns, locations, actors, events, threads, messages, enforcement, units, and related state are moving into permanent schemas. The first module’s version-zero dataset is approximately 60–70% complete.
Next integration boundary
The first real playtest will place roughly fifty villagers inside one feature-light, non-magical world and run every implemented mechanic through repeated actor loops.
The purpose is persistent social causality, not a polished showcase or a large agent-count claim.
Persistent Village Slice
The first narrative-driven playtest is planned around a feature-light, non-magical low-fantasy village of roughly fifty ordinary people. They have households, work, roles, customs, obligations, relationships, local worries, and practical reasons to care about one another.
The player will enter as one actor among the cast, creating a new character or choosing an existing villager. It will not be a scripted showcase. Every mechanic implemented by that point must pass through repeated actor loops: written into the world, persisted, retrieved when relevant, and allowed to shape what happens later.
The exciting moment is not simply that fifty characters can produce dialogue. It is that one small action can be absorbed differently by a society while the system can show why.
The first test is not whether an LLM can tell a fantasy story. It is whether an LLM can participate in a persistent world without breaking it.
Direct witness
Their account is grounded in direct knowledge, but still shaped by attention, interest, loyalty, fear, and interpretation.
Distorted rumour
The event reaches them through another person, changed by uncertainty, emphasis, mistake, or deliberate manipulation.
Bounded knowledge
They were absent, nobody told them, and the world does not grant every actor automatic access to everything that happened.
Delayed consequence
They care because the event affected a relative, a debt, a duty, a reputation, or a relationship that only becomes relevant in a later scene.
The village is small enough for causality to remain inspectable and socially dense enough for memory, knowledge, rumours, obligations, and relationships to collide repeatedly.
Whole-system integration
Everything implemented enters the same world. Nothing is selected only because it makes a reliable demonstration.
Grounded baseline
No magic will dominate the result, and dice-based combat remains outside this run until it has governed mechanics of its own.
Model observation
With rules and state held stable, different models may produce different social climates. Escalation, patience, suspicion, and restraint become useful data.
This is the point where Myriuna will stop being tested only as a collection of systems and begin being observed as a small society maintaining continuity.
